Allison Limmer Sherwood, M.D.

Allison Limmer Sherwood, MD, grew up in San Antonio before moving to Memphis, TN, to attend Rhodes College, where she graduated with bachelor’s degrees in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and Spanish. Dr. Limmer received her medical degree from McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas at Houston and was selected to Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society for academic excellence. After finishing her internship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, Dr. Limmer completed dermatology residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, during which time she served as chief resident.

Dr. Limmer is excited to join the Limmer Dermatology team! She received advanced training in emerging therapies for challenging diagnoses such as atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, and hidradenitis suppurativa. She also enjoys enhancing the lives of her patients with hair loss and cosmetic concerns through medical and procedural modalities. She hopes to continue the Limmer Dermatology legacy of excellent care and longstanding relationships with patients.

Outside of the office, Dr. Limmer enjoys spending time with her husband and son, cooking and trying new restaurants, and playing board games.
